Lucky Jill Pollitt won a week with a fantastic Vauxhall VX220 sports car in WOMAC’s annual raffle. She writes:

"I just want to say big THANK YOU to WOMAC, Veronica Borrelli and Vauxhall for great week of open-top motoring in which I did the best part of 1000 miles.

I had a little frisson of excitement every time I fired up the VX up using the big silver starter button in the centre of the dashboard.

It's THE quickest road car I have ever been in, and the whistle when the turbo kicked in was simply divine.

Driving it really is the most fun you can have with your clothes on ... and believe me I had on lots and lots of hats and scarves and sweaters and jackets....Topless motoring in England is not for the namby-pamby, and I went everywhere with the roof down.

Having the boot right next to the hot, throbbing engine is a also great way to keep your pizza warm on the way back from the takeaway.

I now know what I want for Christmas – and it has nothing to do with teeth."
