Sizzling heat and BBQ at 2006 Walk for WOMAC

Sunday 2 July, the day of the WOMAC Walk, was one of the hottest days of the year, with temperatures rising to over 30 degrees. ….. (link to full story in 2006 section on news page) Over 50 people registered to take part in the file mile walk at Emberton Park in Olney.  On the day, the walkers following route which took them cross country through farmland and across fields, then back into Emberton village.  A post-walk BBQ, kindly hosted and sponsored by Nissan was a welcome and relaxing end to the day!  Through a combination of entry fees and sponsorship money, the Walkers managed to raise just over £1,200 - a brilliant effort!
