LOOKING FORWARD TO 2003

WOMAC’s 2003 fundraising has got off to a great start, and we already have almost £5,000 in the pot.
Alyson Marlow’s multi-skilled husband Innes, photographer and rally driver, has discovered a new talent: car-bonnet art. His amazing painting on a Renault Clio bonnet captured Jenson Button in action and was signed by the driver himself.
It was auctioned at the British Grand Prix in aid of WOMAC and netted a fantastic £1,400.

If that wasn’t enough, Renault raffled signed portraits of Jenson and team mate Jarno Trulli at their guests’ lunch at Silverstone, raising an additional £2,000.
Another unexpected windfall came from Fiat in Slough. When all her colleagues began arriving early to watch the World Cup, Guilietta Calabrese spotted another opportunity to make money. She cooked up piles of delicious bacon butties in return for donations to WOMAC.
Plus, in an incredibly generous act, one of Guilietta’s colleagues donated the money raised for his leaving present to the Youth Cancer Trust via WOMAC. So we have just received a cheque for £350.
Karen Parry has suggested a sale of unwanted branded clothing so if you have any more ideas to reach new donors, please let us know.
